Artists and Writers Unite! How to break into the world of art writing

Friday 12 October 2018 / 10am-4pm

Roco Creative Coop, 342 Glossop Road, Sheffield, S10
Free / Booking Essential – Eventbrite

This 1-day symposium will explore the mysterious and sometimes difficult to access world of art writing, and uncover ways that artists and writers can join up to enrich their respective practices. Presenters include Lara Eggleton, Managing Editor at Corridor8, Sara Jaspan, Exhibitions Editor at Creative Tourist, Gabrielle de la Puente of The White Pube and Elaine Speight of In Certain Places.

Each will share valuable insights and reflect on their experiences as creative thinkers, writers and editors. The event will also address how digital platforms are key to opening up critical debate and extending artists’ exposure.

There will be ample time for questions and discussion throughout the day, as well as opportunities to meet and chat with other creative professionals.

This event has been curated by Lara Eggleton and co-produced with Sheffield Creative Guild.
